Works by Jürgen Wolff
The artworks by Jürgen Wolff, shows an information aesthetic originating in individual algorithms developed by the artist for each piece of art.
These algorithms determine the size and position of the corresponding elements by mathematical computations. These well-defined operational instructions, which are followed consistently, predetermines the result.
Thus, drawings, paper cuttings, and wall objects emerge in an "aesthetic combined with witty playfulness", as expressed by Eugen Gomringer (founder of concrete poetry).
The kite (deltoid) takes a central role in each artwork shown at the gallery. Its visualisation in different shapes gives an insight into the world of thought of artist Jürgen Wolff. Namely, the search for; simplicity and minimalism in order to understand complexity and diversity.
